This website presents information about krups coffee makers. Please enjoy your
stay.
Krups is a German manufacturer of kitchen appliances, and coffee makers is one of the things that they
manufacture. The company is now owned by France's Groupe SEB.
Krups produces 3 major groups of coffee makers. They make automatic drip machines, specialty machines, and
dual carafe coffee machines.
The automatic drip machines have large 10 to 12 cup thermal or glass carafs, some sort of timer or programming
capability, and LED displays. A few have a very useful Pause and Serve feature which lets you pause the
brewing in order to take a cup of coffee without waiting for the brewing process to complete. Some models have
an auto off feature which turns the machine off after brewing. Other models provide a useful auto on feature
which lets you program the machine to turn on in teh morning or whenever you want it to start brewing coffee on its
own. It all depends on which model that you choose as they are targeted at different price
points.
The specialty machines so far include the KM7000 which contains a conical burr grinder which grinds the coffee
to match the number of cups selected, and has five grind levels and three coffee strength settings. The
F468 makes brewed mocha and contains a stainless steel heating element and a water reservoir with an eight cup
holding capacity.
The dual carafe coffee machine is a combination of two coffee makers in one. It contains two seperate brewing
systems which can make regular and decaf at the same time. There are two ten cup stainless steel insulated
carafes, a light up on off switch, a flavor selector to increase flavor when making small quantities, and "Deep
Brew" feature which heats water to the perfect temperature and sends timed pulses of hot water through the coffee
to provide a very robust flavor.
